LA MARTINA
Polo, on and off the field
I have devoted the past 11 years of my life being part and leading the design department for La Martina, having had the opportunity to grow as a creative individual, being involved in every design process along the way.
Brand building and staying true to the sport of Polo are constant cultural guidelines within the company.
As a leader, I have always identified with the core values of the organization and kept up with the expectations, feeding my team with new challenges on a constant basis, always looking into a brighter future.
It has always been my goal to use all the skills and tools in my possession to bring into life all the ideas, concepts, value and content that were true to the brand strategy, staying focused and target driven.

DESIGNING THE TOTAL LOOK
Defining design proposals for La Martina's total look, based on the concept of an eclectic mix of cultures a Polo Player encounters during his international travels. Influences from different corners of the world that portray the richness of such lifestyle translated into tangible products.

EL PORTEÑO
The essence of Buenos Aires for a polished, crisp yet relaxed and cool vibe that defines the city and its people.

EL GAUCHO
Elements of the countryside, traditional emblems of the Gaucho culture translated into a vibrant and sophisticated look based on earth tones and natural materials.
BEACH POLO
Mediterranean spirit, luminous and resort friendly. Light silky textures, statement prints and a bold color palette to define what summer chis is all about.

BANDERAS
Never leaving the brand's birthplace and spirit behind, a celebration of La Martina's DNA represented with the Argentine flag. Modern and updates, it symbolizes pride and courage.

DISNEY POLO TOUR
Based on the 1936 short film "Mickey Mouse Polo Club", the new that Walt Disney himself was a polo player and enthusiast (also founder of a club in Los Angeles) was the driver to contact Disney and propose a design collaboration. Featuring the classic characters, I redrew them turning each one into a polo player, creating iconic pieces. The project is still under process but it would mean a true validation of the soul of these two brands.

BLUE TAG COLLECTION
Introducing a new fit for a new customer
The aim for the collection was to materialize a completely new experience for the end customer and gain market share within the casual formalwear segment of the market (strongly covered by such brands as Gant, J. Crew, Hackett, Polo Ralph Lauren, etc.).
It was one of the biggest challenges faced as head of the design team, since it meant a bold, 180-degree shift from our “comfort zone”. As a capsule, it became the focus of the ad campaign and added a new market dimension to the stable collection.
